Casa Jungua is a beautiful, environmentally friendly, fully functioning, off the grid Balinese-style farmhouse. She is built purely from greenheart woods and has an extremely low impact on the environment.

Exclusively solar powered yet featuring washer/dryer, refrigerator/freezer, swimming pool and other amenities one would expect from a “wired” home. Water is supplied to the house form our own spring water well.

 

Casa Jungua sleeps 6 adults comfortably in two large bedrooms and has a large living room/dining room, a full kitchen, a “monkey porch” (where our guests can observe all four species of Costa Rican primates – Spider Monkeys, White-Faced Monkeys, Howler Monkeys and Squirrel Monkeys), and a full-length front porch providing breathtaking views of the ocean. The house also features a large expanse of windows and doors that when open, invite in the salty ocean breezes as well as the cooling drafts of jungle air.

The front yard features a plunge pool as well as the signature element of the property – a pavilion that is suspended over the jungle and looks down on Lower Matapalo and the gulf.  From this vantage point our guests enjoy watching the sunrise, a wide variety of wildlife, surfers, and occasionally humpback whales while dining, enjoying a morning coffee or happy hour after a long day of fun activities.

We are set on the point of an exclusive bluff which overlooks the Golfo Dulce and the Pacific Ocean. If you are looking for privacy and peace our private oasis will be ideal for you.
